How can I listen to Radio Verulam on the Internet?
You can listen to Radio Verulam on the Internet from this website (www.radioverulam.com). A broadband connection will be required as we broadcast at 64kbps. Click on the "Listen Live" and you should be able to hear Radio Verulam within a few seconds. (Technical Note - we are broadcasting on the Internet in MP3Pro format which is compatible with most computers and software, including Windows, Apple Mac and Linux.) Users with Winamp can hear us in the best quality by installing the MP3pro Codec available from http://www.mp3prozone.com/assets/mp3PROAudioDecoder.exe which will play our stream at the best sound quality (44khz instead of 22khz). Although not compatible with Winamp version 3, we have tested it on version 5.52 and 5.53 with excellent results. ***-->Please note - If you upgrade to a newer version of Winamp at any time, the MP3Pro Codec will need to be re-installed so please keep a copy of the file for future use<--*** Users of MusicMatch Jukebox 7.2 or later should already be able to listen to our stream at the best 44khz quality. Apple Mac users can use the Audion 3 player from www.panic.com/audion/
I have found Radio Verulam on my radio but it doesn't sound very clear. What can I do to improve it?
If you are in St Albans you should be able to hear Radio Verulam in quality stereo. Further away from the City centre, for example in surrounding villages and towns our signal is weaker and you may hear "hiss" or interference from other radio stations. If you are using a portable radio you may find that moving the telescopic aerial around will give you better reception.
I live in St Albans. How do I find Radio Verulam on my radio?
Radio Verulam broadcasts on 92.6 FM across St Albans and the surrounding area. Make sure your radio is switched to "FM" (which will be marked with numbers from 88 to 108). Radio Verulam's frequency of 92.6 is between BBC Radio 3 and BBC Radio 4
