My career started very young when I worked in London and Europe as a club DJ for the International Disc Jockey agency, working alongside some well known names such as Peter Anthony who I am still in contact with today. I also did a gig with David Hamilton once.
I then decided radio was a natural next step.
I joined Radio Verulam in 2003 after doing my hospital radio stint, and have been there since.
The early studio was above a glass shop in Apsley and the studio's and audience reach has improved dramatically since those early beginnings.
With my natural ability to make people feel at ease and my interest in all things 'alternative' I chose to host an interview show which has constantly evolved over the years, plus my love music of all genre's.
And I have talked to such a wide range of people such as Bob Wilson OBE, Philip Lymbery - Compassion in World Farming to health therapists on water birthing and The Mosaic Orchestra who have created spectrum colour music. I am also very passionate about promoting the good things that people are doing.
My blog and listen again recordings of the show can be heard on http://ashlynkaye1.blogspot.com
What else to do you?
My empathetic nature meant that it was also a natural step for me to become a Professional Well being Life, in assisting with problems such as phobias, anxiety, stress etc... www.ashlynkaye.co.uk
And for fun?
I love Salsa and modern Jive - and of course doing outside broadcasts.
