John talks to Iain Loe from CAMRA about the significant impact they have had over the last 40 years on preserving real ale in the UK and regenerating small private breweries which are now flourishing. Iain also explains how CAMRA have also turned their attention to the real cider industry which is struggling.

David Thorold, curator of the Verulamium Museum explains the significance of the museum in understanding the history of the Roman occupation of Britain and Roman culture. Unlike most Roman cities, St Albans does not sit on top of the ruins so the museum occupies the original Roman city.

Gemma Smith describes the competition being held at the Hertfordshire Show where visitors are being invited to produce a 3-5 minute video and submit them to win a prize.  There are three prizes on offer; 1st  prize is dinner, bed and breakfast in one of two local Beal Hotels; 2nd prize a family visit to the Harry Potter set and third prize a family ticket to next year’s Hertfordshire Show.
