With the Bank Holiday weekend approaching there are lots of local music events to keep you entertained! Lots of local pubs are putting on music and there are a few out of town events worth mentioning too.

Here’s a rundown of some top picks from The Parsons Knows Local Music.

Goatfest – This festival has grown over the last few years and is based in Codicote. Headlining this year is 80’s star Kim Wilde. With support from local bands like Westward Ho, Beth Hedges, April Blue, Indi & The Vegas and more this looks like being a great little festival. For more information

Queens Head – Sandridge – ‘Queenstock’ is a lovely little pub festival planned for Sunday 27th August. Free entry & family friendly. One of the featured acts is Phoenix O’Neill with her band ‘The Daddy’s’ on at 5pm. Phoenix is a rising star locally so definitely worth going to see. For more information

Mac’s Holiday Monday – The Mermaid. Fab little pub festival that is becoming a bit of a tradition locally.  Running on Bank Holiday Monday 28th August there will be music all afternoon with local acts like Starseedz & ARC. For more information

The Hare & Hounds – This great community pub has events all over the weekend from charity DJ night to a Carribean themed day and local artist Emma McGrath performing live on Sunday 27th August. Always something good going on at the #Harey! For more information

The Swan Vesta Social Club – Performing at Goatfest and at The Farmers Boy on Sunday 27th August! One of the best local bands for a summer fiesta! For more information
