The season of mists and mellow fruitfulness is upon us again and it’s time again for Apple Days. Apple Day is celebrated across the UK in October as a celebration of orchards but also a demonstration of the variety we are in danger of losing, not simply in apples, but in the richness and diversity of landscape, ecology and culture.
Highfield Park’s Apple Day Sunday 8th October 2-4pm. Centred around Charters Health Club, it’ll be an afternoon for all the family celebrating apples. There’ll be games, stalls, tug of war and the chance to buy Highfield’s own delicious apples and apple juice.
