The Dragons’ Apprentice Challenge is on the hunt for local business people who could lead an apprentice team to victory.
The business challenge sees Year 12 students from St Albans and Harpenden, tasked with turning £100 into £1000 or more for their partnered charity. The teams have a 4 months trading period to generate profit, starting from October and finishing with an awards evening in April 2018.
Anne-Marie Mill, project coordinator said “it’s a fantastic opportunity for our dynamic business community to demonstrate and pass on valuable knowledge to our apprentices. The dragon role requires leadership, patience and lots of enthusiasm to mentor our students to achieve their end goal.”
Kelly Price, owner of The Little HR Company and winner of the Dragon Special Recognition Award at this year’s awards evening said “It was a lot of fun working on the challenge and my team were amazing. Developing their basic business skills and watching them grow in confidence was a real joy.”
