Radio Verulam’s coverage of St Albans City FC v Carlisle United in the first round of the 2016 Emirates FA Cup has been shortlisted for TWO awards at the forthcoming National Community Radio Awards.

The 3 hour programme included full match commentary, half time and full time highlights with analysis and a one hour speech-only pitchside build up including interviews with players, the manager Ian Allinson, St Albans’ legends and fans.

The coverage was written, produced and presented by Jonny Seabrook, with Kerry Cobb and Ian Rogers reporting, Paul Andersson and Matt Jones engineering and Paul Hutton commentating.

The coverage has been shortlisted in the categories for Best Sport’s Show and Best Coverage of Community Event. The awards will be announced on Saturday 23rd September at the awards ceremony in Bristol.
