Another action packed Verulam Sport from 3pm-6pm on Saturday 20th April.
Tony Rice is roving reporting this week and will provide live reports and updates from the Richoh Arena where Saracens collide with Munster in the Semi-Final of The European Champions Cup. Both sides have two European trophies in their respective cabinets and with Saracens boasting the best attack in the tournament this year; the Men in Black will be confident. Stay tuned all afternoon to discover if they can remain on course to become the first English club to lift the trophy on three occasions.
There’s no St Albans City FC game on Saturday, but you will hear from the ‘Voice of the Saints’ Ian Rogers who reviews what was a ‘Great’ Friday for Ian Allison’s men. He will also build up for what is a massive week for all Saints fans. On Monday they travel to Concord Rangers. This fixture could see the Saints grab the vital 7th place and the final Play Off spot with only two league matches remaining. Then, on Wednesday a chance of Silverware as they are in the Herts Senior Cup final facing local rivals Boreham Wood.
Talking silverware, it is just under a month now until Watford FC’s first FA Cup Final in 35 years. After a narrow loss to Arsenal on Monday they face already relegated Huddersfield this weekend and will be confident of a victory here. The Hornets Head of Communications Richard Walker is on hand with all the news ahead of this one.
We will find out how our local American Football and Baseball teams got on in their season openers and as always chat with Head Coach and Director of Netball for the Saracens Mavericks; Kat Ratnapala. Despite a narrow loss to defending champions Wasps the Mavs are still very much in the hunt for Play Off positions with only 4 matches left in the Vitality Netball Super League.
All this and so much more, Verulam Sport with Dave Adcock, Matthew Turvey and Jason McKenna with Tony Rice live at The Richoh Arena Verulam Sport 3-6pm 92.6 FM and online on www.radioverulam.com
